Is this a perfect marriage made in internet land or what?

And the latest may be one of the most impressive of all. Ultimate Ron Paul was created by Richard Viguerie, often dubbed the “funding father of the conservative movement.” Viguerie, who founded Conservative Digest magazine in the 1970s, pioneered the use of computerized direct mail, helping raise billions for conservative organizations. Most recently, he authored “Conservatives Betrayed: How George W. Bush and Other Big-Government Republicans Hijacked the Conservative Cause.”

Viguerie Launches Ron Paul Web Site

Billionaire’s Stance: www.UltimateRonPaul.com

Tuesday, January 15, 2008 9:39 PM: Newsmax.com

Direct-mail guru Richard A. Viguerie has announced the launch of a new Web site, http://www.UltimateRonPaul.com.

“I remain uncommitted to any of the Republican candidates,” Viguerie said, “but it is clear that Ron Paul is truly a principled conservative in the grand tradition of Robert Taft, Barry Goldwater, and Ronald Reagan.”

Viguerie added, “By standing consistently for individual liberty and constitutionalism, Ron Paul has differentiated himself from all the other candidates, whose allegiance is to Big Government Republicanism.

“Paul’s principled stands have brought him a new and committed following. Many of them like what they’ve seen in the television debates, but they want to learn more about the candidate and what he stands for. UltimateRonPaul.com is designed to meet their needs by giving them everything they need to know about Ron Paul on one Web site.”

Viguerie, the author of “Conservatives Betrayed: How George W. Bush and Other Big Government Republicans Hijacked the Conservative Cause,” pioneered ideological and political direct mail and has been called “the funding father of the conservative movement” for his role in helping build dozens of conservative organizations.

MANASSAS, Virginia, Jan. 15 /Christian Newswire/ — Richard A. Viguerie, the author of Conservatives Betrayed: How George W. Bush and Other Big Government Republicans Hijacked the Conservative Cause (Bonus Books, 2006), has announced the launch of a new website, www.UltimateRonPaul.com

UltimateRonPaul.com is designed to meet their needs by giving them everything they need to know about Ron Paul on one website.”

UltimateRonPaul.com aims to do this in a highly interactive way, with features such as:

· Petitions: One seeks to make certain that Ron Paul is included in the January 30 debate at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library. Another seeks a full-fledged debate on foreign policy between Ron Paul and John McCain.

· Polls: The first one asks, “Who should be Ron Paul’s Veep?” Viguerie says: “To maximize the impact of their votes, we will release the results to thousands of national, state, and local media outlets, including more than 2,000 bloggers.”

· Blogs and forums, such as the Ron Paul Soapbox, where readers can speak out and communicate with each other.

· A contest to select the best Inaugural Address and the State of the Union Address for Ron Paul. Viguerie promises that “if Paul is nominated and then elected President, we will submit these entries to the President-elect and to the members of his transition team.”

· And an opportunity to give advice to Ron Paul, which will be forwarded to the candidate.

UltimateRonPaul.com also presents the latest and most important news about Ron Paul and his opponents, launches a Ron Paul Fan Club, and provides detailed information about the candidate and his policy positions.

RP Planning Secret Win?

Another Secret Plan To Win

A Ron Paul follower offered this unique strategy to a for sure FTW!!!  It clearly worked.  I’ll recap and paraphrase it so you don’t have to read all of it.

http://www.nolanchart.com/article1098.html

WARNING: Follow this and it’s a sure win!

You have to admit Paul hasn’t done well. So much in elections is to be expected though.

Paul must do the unexpected.

Sun Tzu’s “The Art of War”, Chapter 11: “To take advantage of the enemy’s lack of preparation, take unexpected routes to attack where the enemy is not prepared.”

THE ENEMY:

The media has forced people to believe Ron Paul isn’t a good candidate. It’s clear no one can think for themselves.

THE VISION OF VICTORY:

For Ron Paul to win enough votes to give him a majority or large percentage of delegates.

THE OBSTACLE:

1. Ron Paul has sucked so far. No one will vote for him.

THE STRATEGY:

1. Do something unexpected like launch a blimp.  Pray for Dennis Kucinich to get bed sores with Ron Paul’s face on them. Something!!!

WHY THIS COULD HAPPEN:

1. People like blimps.  People dislike Kucinich.  Yay!

THIS. JUST. MIGHT. WORK.

The Revolution is over

I don’t care how they spin it, the revolution is officially over.

For a Libertarian to finish in fifth, as of now, in New Hampshire, well that’s a big indicator.

Him finishing fifth in Libertarian, live free or die, New Hampshire, is like going to an Oakland Raiders home game and only finding five fans in Raiders Jerseys.

If there was a place the revolution could break out, this is it!  But it wasn’t it.

I’m done doing anything with this site.  What has been said about Ron Paul is all that can be said.

It’s proven that him and his followers are officially irrelevant to this political process.

They can gather a loud, large crowd online and on street corners, but they can’t gather enough real life votes to really matter.

My predictions for tonight…

Here are my predictions for New Hampshire tonight.

Paul finishes fourth.  Despite finishing fourth in a state known for it’s “libertarianness”, Paul supporters will claim a victory because they finished in front of some big named candidate.

They’ll tout a 10%ish vote count and say this is also a victory.  This will be full proof the revolution has hit America.

A day or two down the road some conspiracy theory will be released that shows Paul really won or finished better than before.

Just because I’ll need something to laugh at

I’ll need something to laugh at tomorrow when Paul finishes fourth or worse.

Dixville Notch NH, Rejects Ron Paul

The first place to vote in the NH primary has rejected Ron Paul  No votes at all. I’m sure we’ll hear some conspiracy theories in a few days.

Excuses for losing

So we already have some excuses for not losing…

This is the excuse for losing Iowa….

From The Daily Paul…or so I’m told:

To those who haven’t heard, the results reported by CNN on caucus night were ‘Straw Poll’ results.

The straw poll is the first part of the caucus. The Straw Poll portion of the caucus is just that; a poll like any other except this one is still incomplete.

What CNN fails to mention is that what REALLY counts in getting the Iowa nomination is the what happens in second part of the Iowa caucus. This is when DELEGATES are SELECTED. Having a good number of Delegates is what will get a Dr Paul nominated.

According to Ron Paul supporters in Iowa there were roughly 80% people that went home before nominating and SELECTING DELEGATES.

In at least one precinct Ron Paul got 50% of the delegates since most of the other non-Paul supporters went home before selecting them. Their supporters were either unaware or too lazy to stick around for the most important part of the caucus.

This is where we shined, and as usual, we were more educated, more motivated and knew what really counted. The number of delegates aren’t tracked, therefore cannot be reported. We may have gotten 50% of the total delegates for Iowa. This may be optimistic but there is no way to know until the final delegates are selected at the state convention.

What this means is the numbers reported by CNN, the numbers that say Huckabee is 1st and Romney is 2nd etc (poll numbers), have nothing to do with who will get nominated in Iowa and we don’t yet have access to the numbers that count (delegates). Iowa is far from over and the Republican nominee is only selected after 3 more conventions.

Take a look at this sticky at Ron Paul Forums:

http://www.ronpaulforums.com/

It is likely that Ron Paul did get 3rd or better. Who controls the (dis)information? CNN has no idea where anyone placed in the numbers that count yet they report on numbers that benefit their corporate master’s choices based on an incomplete poll. They barely mentioned his name caucus night and then there was their conspicuous missing piece in their Pie-chart.

This is just more BS mindgames directed at us (psy-ops) by old media. It is sabotage meant to demotivate us, frustrate us into quitting and suppress any posibble new supportes from discovering the only real Republican candidate.

CNN is as bad or worse than Fox with their tactics. They are only slightly more covert in their undermining but equally as transparent.

Do you think CNN’s corporate masters are going to allow them to provide us with feedback of our growing successful revolution? Would they sabotage Ron Paul if he is losing or has no chance?

These are the same old tactics by old media and if we continue the battle we will win.

Long Live the Revolution!

This is the excuse for losing wyoming….

Wyoming Party Hacks Reject Ron Paul

Wyoming GOP county conventions gave their delegates to Romney, Thompson, McCain, and Hunter. But Ron Paul never stood a chance there.

We shouldn’t have expected anything from Wyoming. Most observers didn’t understand the rules.

The Wyoming county conventions were NOT open to Republican voters. Eligible delegates consisted of only two groups: Republican party officials who were elected in 2006; and delegates who were appointed (by established precinct organizations) to fill empty delegate seats. The rules are explained here.

Each county convention elected either one delegate or one alternate. They were assigned one or the other by the state party based on past vote totals for GOP candidates in their county.

Each county convention was presented with delegate candidates, who were either pledged to a Presidential candidate or unpledged. The winner in each county had to get over 50%, so runoffs were held.

In most cases, the winning delegate candidates were county party leaders who were chosen because of who they were, rather than who they are supporting for President.

Wyoming’s system is a throwback to the old days of backroom nominations. There was little chance for new party activists to participate in this process, only old-timers made the choice.

I can’t wait until the excuses for losing New Hampshire come in.

More Ron-aid. Drink Up

http://www.observer.com/2008/and-they-will-know-his-name-ron-paul

At the Ron Paul headquarters in Concord this afternoon, 16 volunteers were phonebanking.

“We’re not getting anyone who says ‘I don’t know who Ron Paul is,’ the situation we were in four or five months ago,” said a young volunteer named Chris. “We’re looking to place well, in what they call the top tier.”

Paul Supporters Make Paul Look Like A Third Rail Candidate

Paul supporters don’t come right out and say he’s a third rail candidate, but their actions and talk seem to indicate such a view.

They are bragging on and on about his 10% in Iowa and his fifth place finish and his winning in Jefferson County.  This is the mantra that to them proves Ron Paul is a winner.  It’s fine if they brag about such things, but what are the implications of bragging about these kinds of numbers?

If you brag about weak numbers like this, you are admitting two things.  Either Paul is a third rail candidate who did well and exceeded expectations or he is a top tier candidate who did poorly.

There are only two options here my friends. Ron Paul is either a third rail candidate who did well, or he is a top tier candidate who sucked.  The only kind of candidate who can brag about finishing fifth at 10% is a third rail candidate.  I agree, for a third rail candidate that is a good turn out.  But at the end of the day he’s still a third rail candidate if that is all you’re left to brag about.

If your argument is that Paul is a top tier candidate, then you better not be talking about the greatness of a fifth place finish at 10%.  Because those are not numbers a top tier candidate goes around talking about to show how good they are.  Especially if they have raised $20 million and have more yard signs than there are corn stalks in Iowa.

So my question to Paul supporters is this.  Is he a third rail candidate who did good or a top tier candidate who did poorly?  You can’t have it both ways.

10% Bragging Rights?

I still don’t understand why Paul supporters are bragging and gushing over Paul’s 10% showing in Iowa.

There were four other candidates who finished ahead of him, three of them are and were in worst financial standing than him and yet they are just bragging about a tenth place finish.  It doesn’t make sense.

If Paul can brag and gush about his 10% then can’t Thompson and Mccain brag and gush about their 13%? I think it was 13%.  Either way it was more than Paul got.

They brag and gush about beating Rudy.  But so did four others.

They brag and gush about winning Jefferson County.  So what!

They can talk all they want about how Paul is this under dog candidate, but he’s had tons of media exposure, raised 20 million and claims to have tons of supporters and they claim they’re in a revolution.

If they can claim victory and brag over their 10% and 1 county win, then it follows the other candidates can brag and gush too.  Right?

The Ronvolution Is Over..Onward To New Hampshire…

Thank you Iowa indpendents for selecting Barack Obama and John Mccain. I sense a trend going on here. The ronvolution is over, the independent vote in New Hampshire will go to Obama and Mccain. But the Ronbots are having fun deluding themselves.

The Paulites have been passing around this “positive bulletin” around myspace. Of course it is filled with kool-aid delusions and glaring double standards.

(1) Contrary to what some here believe, we did significantly outperform our polls, just as we had been saying we would do all along.

According to Real Clear Politics, we were polling at 7.3% in the last five polls taken before the caucus (on average) yet, as of writing this, we are at 9.8%,

Significantly outperforming? I don’t think three points is significant. It’s three points. Huckabee must be burning the walls down because he won by over eight points and the polls projected him behind or only up two points at the most.

Look at the double standard here as they brag about “beating” Giuliani.

(3) We destroyed former front-runner Rudy Giuliani—absolutely destroyed him with almost triple his vote total—and don’t be fooled—Rudy didn’t compete here because he couldn’t compete not because he didn’t want to.

(2) Despite the fact that we put very little effort into Iowa until very late in the game and despite the fact that Ron Paul spent less time in Iowa than any other candidate (in a state where in-person campaigning is essential) and despite our shabby treatment by the mainstream media we still were just 3 points out of third place.

Say huh?  Ok, they love touting how they beat Giuliani, and they won’t admit his poor performance came because he didn’t show up in Iowa.  That is not considered a factor at all in explaining why Rudy did so bad.  Yet that is a factor to consider when wondering why Paul did so bad!?

Good news my friends, The Ronvolution is over.  They’ll spin this as a victory even after he admits his defeat.

Ron Paul Is A Sly Dog, Slippery Politician

At first glance, Ron Paul comes off as this idealist guy, up there just talking from his heart about what he thinks is right. He may appear misguided to some. Some may disagree with him, yet perceive he is a good politician, unlike those sleaze bag candidates he is running against. This perception is the furthest from the truth.

Ron Paul is also a sleaze bag politician. He may even be worse than some of the others.

Let’s start with his earmark spending.

He leads his district in earmarks.
Link

Now this is where it gets interesting. This is where he turns into a sly dog, slippery politician. In one breath he argues doggedly for putting them in the bill. He talks with great passion about why they should be included. LINK

Look at the passion and logic he uses for including these earmarks in the bills. You’d think a man with a passion to put the stuff in the bill, the endless justifications to put it in, you’d think he would vote yes! But instead he votes no.

Does this seem like the actions of someone who isn’t a sly dog, slippery politician? If you’re for something, then you vote for it. If you’re against something, then you vote no. Paul is trying to say yes and no at the same time.

Most politicians get raked over the coals for changing their opinions over time. Paul is worse! He is politically schizophrenic and tries to have two opposing opinions at the same time. He’s not voting for something after he votes against it. He’s voting yes while voting no! But it doesn’t end here.

This guy can’t decide if he’s a Republican, Libertarian or an Independent. His first five terms in Congress were as a Republican. Then in 1988 he had a chance to run for president as a Libertarian. So he sends a letter of resignation to the GOP and runs for president as a Libertarian. A few years later he decides to run for Congress and what does he run as? A Republican of course. In 08 he’s running for president as a Republican, but he won’t rule out a run on a different party. LINK This reeks of political opportunism to me. He’s even admitted he’s running as a Republican this time because it’s more politically expedient. Easier to get on ballots and be seen in debates.

To top it off, Paul proposed term-limits, but then served ten terms in Congress. He has fun explaining this one. LINK

Ron Paul is indeed a sly dog, slippery politician. He tries to vote yes and no at the same time, chooses party affiliation based on what works best for him and he is both for and against term-limits.

Why does all this matter? Because much of his following comes because he comes off as a non-politician. He’s got that whole Mr. Smith goes to Washington mojo thing going for him. Ron Paul is anything but a Mr. Smith. He’s more like “Mr. Average Politician”. He’s not Doctor No. He’s Doctor Yes\No\Maybe and totally politically-schizophrenic. Can such a man be trusted?
